Overview

Our experience has shown that recognition and enforcement in Romania of foreign arbitral awards and foreign judgments is an essential step for foreign businesses with interests in Romania.

· representation and assistance in front of the Romanian courts during the exequatur procedure;
· obtaining interim injunctions such as garnishments, attachments, seizures of the debtor’s assets or bank accounts.
· identification of assets and preliminary assessment of the chances of recovery of sums;
· tailored strategies for international asset recovery, considering the debtor’s financial situation, political and economic climate, and jurisdiction;
· consultancy regarding the requirements and the procedure for recognition and enforcement.

Represented multiple international companies from USA, EU and outside the EU in recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards and foreign court judgments in Romania, in accordance with the New York Convention, including the establishment of precautionary measures to secure cashing in at the end of the exequatur procedure.
